McCaul Goldsmiths

Established in 2009, McCaul Goldsmiths was founded by Irish brothers David and Barry McCaul. With over fifteen years training and working in the jewellery industry, David’s wealth of knowledge has shaped their unique contemporary style. After switching careers from I.T in 2008, Barry intensively trained in micropavé gemstone setting, which means that they can guarantee that every stone in a McCaul piece is set with microscopic precision and accuracy.

Each piece of jewellery is designed and made in store, their specially crafted collections use both traditional and modern goldsmithing techniques to create distinctive fine jewellery that is long lasting.

Our signature style

Led by the interest of the purity in natural forms and asymmetric curves, their signature style is that of fluidity, balance and elegance. Out of loving labour comes luxury, all their jewellery is skilfully handcrafted in precious metal to form designs which undulate, twist and curl. Their most spectacular and striking rings feature vividly coloured gemstones in unusual faceted shapes. Their signature technique of fine gemstone setting is used to highlight the sculpted contours of our delicate spiralled pieces. 

Our atelier

Based on the popular Exmouth Market in London which is famed for its offering of independent shops and restaurants McCaul Goldsmiths is short distance from the heart of the city. Well placed within the thriving Clerkenwell design district they are open Monday to Saturday, visitors are welcome to browse the jewellery collections on display whilst they work.

Our materials

McCaul Goldsmiths’ source exceptional coloured gemstones from all over the globe for their bespoke and one-of-a-kind rings. Also regularly dealing with diamonds, from fancy colours to unusual cuts, means they can help inform your choice with open and honest advice. All of their pieces are created in precious metal in various finishes, with a choice of 18ct white, yellow, rose gold and platinum, all of which are robust enough to last a lifetime.

At McCaul Goldsmiths they enjoy working closely with their clients to create a truly unique and timeless piece, either by developing an idea together or working to a specific design. From crafting an one-of-a-kind engagement ring to making statement pendant for a special occasion, they are highly experienced in creating bespoke jewellery.
